I'm a firm believer after seeing it work a few times for several years on end;
1. You shouldn't date until you've been friends for at least half a year.
2. No sex until at least two months of dating.
3. You should move in together after a year of two of dating (depending on how the two people are, it could be one or two years. Some people are ready for it before others.) so they can get to know each other better. There are things you can find out about someone living with them than twenty years of friendship won't tell you.
3. Marriage shouldn't even be thought of until you've been dating for three years.

If the rest of this is TL;DR, here's the short version.
Your story has WAY too many holes.

Okay, wait. If I put together all the stories you've told so far, first, he shot himself in the head in his house. Then, he somehow wandered outside and was found by the side of the road. THEN he got into a car crash? And he was found, even though he was alone, and all within the approximately 15 minutes it took from him posting his butthurt journal to the first message you sent AtoneArt.
Cops don't even MOVE that fast, bro!
If he shot himself in the head in his house, and he was alone, the cops wouldn't get there until AT LEAST 15 minutes later. And they wouldn't bust the door down, because they don't have enough probably cause without a witness.
If he was found in a ditch, unless it was RIGHT in front of someone's house, it could be hours to days before anyone found him. If someone was in the area and found him, it wouldn't be until about now that the ambulance got here, if not another 10 minutes. And even then, the coroner wouldn't look at him until probably tomorrow. No ID could be made until mid-day, when his parents would be told. THEN, I could say they would call you ant tell you if you're both so close.
